JOLIVET TO SCOTTBURGH
With yesterday’s queen stage out of the way, our KAP sani2c 2019 adventure riders left the hospitality of Jolivet Farm this morning to take on the 86km fast punchy trails of stage 3. They traversed through forests, sugar cane plantations and Vernon Crookes Nature Reserve to complete their sani2c adventure in true Sani style by crossing the Scottburgh lagoon over the Hansgrohe floating bridge. A short ride to the Scottburgh Golf Club ended our riders 265km journey from sani2c..

MACKENZIE TO JOLIVET
Day two’s sunrise could not have dawned more spectacularly for the KAP sani2c Adventure riders. Silhouetted against the backdrop of the mighty Umko, today was a day of two half’s. The sharp Umko drop’s trails would have seen a spike in adrenaline even for surf-ski enthusiast Barry Lewin. The 97km stage features the infamous iconic climb, where many riders would have swallowed down their bravado from earlier. The KAP sani2c Adventure riders couldn’t have been happier to see the cheerful faces of the King’s Harvest Academy learners - signaling an end to this - our queen stage.

GLENCAIRN TO MACKENZIE
With the KAP sani2c Trail riders having rolled out the trails for our Adventure riders, the conditions were perfect! Another blue bird Autumn day greeted the 1200 rider strong field ahead of their 82km to MacKensie Club. Not only was today’s riding impressive but so was Arthur Duncan! He is 84 years old and riding with his grandson Keira Duncan who is the current SA Enduro MTB champ!
